"STAMPEDING TOWARDS EXCELLENCE!" Every six weeks Worthing is required to administer a District Mandated Common Benchmark Assessment that assesses the student's performance in English, Math Social Studies and Science. Worthing is required to administer the CBA's due to our Academically Unacceptable Rating that was assigned by the Texas Education Agency. Every core content area (CBA) is aligned with the objectives that will be tested on the 2010 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills Test (TAKS Test). Our goal this year is to be a Recognized or Exemplary Campus! To make certain that we meet our goal, each student must meet or exceed the Minimum passage rate for each exam that they are required to take. As the parent, grandparent and guardian, you will be provided with your student's CBA results at the end of each administration. When you receive the results it is important that you review the results with your student and sign any forms requiring additional tutorials if your student is not successful with meeting the minimum passing standards. English Language Arts 76% - Recognized 80%- Recognized Mathematics 34%- Unacceptable 75% Recognized 10th Grade 2009 TAKS Scores 2010 TAKS Goal! English Language Arts 84% - Recognized 90% - Exemplary Mathematics 52% - Unacceptable 75% - Recognized Science 32% - Unacceptalbe 75% - Recognized Social Studies 84% - Recognized 90% - Exemplary 11th Grade 2009 TAKS Scores 2010 TAKS Goal! English Language Arts 89% - Recognized 95% - Exemplary Mathematics 69% - Acceptable 75% - Recognized Science 73% - Acceptable 80% - Recognized Social Studies 99% - Exemplary 100% - Exemplary 12th Grade 2010 Graduation Goal is 85%!
